Hello everybody! I am Gabriel Nicolae.

I have been a graduate student in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas since 2003. I work at the Human Language Technology Research Institute as a research assistant, and my advisor is Dr. Sanda Harabagiu. I am doing my research in Natural Language Processing, my interests lying in Implicatures, Text Coherence, Coreference Resolution and Question Answering.

I have an Engineering and a Master's Degree from "Politehnica" University of Bucharest. I earned both degrees in Natural Language Processing under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Trausan-Matu.

I have been in the US since 2003, and this has been a great experience for me.

I enjoy the presence of felines around me (I have three of my own). My kind of music starts with Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, and ends with the Alternative of our days. I have been on a couple of trips inside and outside the US and every time my digital camera was one of my best friends. In 2004 my family grew by one: Rasqui - a white Toyota Corolla. And we all lived happily ever after...
