History Facts

I was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.
My B.S. degree is from the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua, Facultad de Ingenieria
My M.S. and Ph.D. are from the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica, Coordinación de Ciencias Computacionales
From September 2005 to August 2007 I was afiliated to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso. I'm still affiliated with some research groups there like the VL3 and the RNAVLab.
Currenlty I'm a postdoc at the HLT Research Institute working with Yang Liu.

Things I do for fun

Tennis is my favorite sport
I love to play board games, my favorites: Sequence, Risk, Monopoly, Scene it, Pictionary, Imaginiff, Pool, and Foosball
I also like to watch movies, among my all time favorites: The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings, Stand by Me, Love Actually, Bridget Jones's Diary, and Love and Death
Music is also something I enjoy, especially live music.
Last but not least I love animals in general, but dogs are my favorite, and I enjoy spending time with my five dogs (More about my dogs here).

Sad thing though, I don't spend a lot of time doing any of the above things because I also like my work, so I spend more time doing that =)
