Mission
The mission of the Human Language Technology Research Institute (HLTRI)
is to advance the development of human-like language and speech
understanding and generation. The main goal of HLTRI is to stimulate
and foster research in Natural Language Processing and Speech
Processing.
Objectives
- To conduct leading-edge research and development in Natural Language Processing and Speech Processing and its most promising applications.
- To provide meaningful research opportunities to the UTD community of scholars, including faculty, post-doctoral researchers, graduate and
undergraduate students and technical staff.
- To work collaboratively with a wide range of partners and to bring the Institute's research into full play for a broader spectrum of users.
